QR labels

Every item gets a QR label. Stick it on, and any phone camera takes you straight to that item's page.

The label sheet

Labels renders a label for every active item in your inventory: the QR code plus the item's name, barcode, and serial number. The layout is 3 × 10 — 30 labels per page on plain letter label stock, with page breaks in the right places. Hit Print on the page and print at 100% scale (no “fit to page”) so the labels land on the stickers.

What scanning does

Each QR code encodes the item's page in the app. Scan it with any phone camera and you land on the item — its status, condition, location, and history. You sign in with your own account if you aren't already; the label carries no secrets, so a stranger scanning a tool sees a login page, nothing more.

One label at a time

Each item's detail page serves its QR code as a standalone PNG image (qr.png), for reprinting a single lost label or embedding the code somewhere else.

The label sheet regenerates from your live inventory every time you open it — new items are simply there. Retired items are not.
