SignoutCrib Docs
SignoutCrib is a lending desk for physical assets: check tools out to your people, and get them back on time. These pages describe exactly how the app behaves.
The shape of it
Five things to know, and the rest follows:
- Items are the things you lend. Each has a barcode, an
optional serial number, a category, a location, a condition, and a status:
available, checked out, orout of service. - People are your borrowers. They never log in — they're a directory your staff picks from at the desk.
- Loans tie the two together: one person, one due-back date, one or more items. A loan stays open until every item on it comes back.
- Staff accounts are the people who run the desk, with four permission levels from read-only to full control.
- Everything a signed-in user changes lands in an append-only audit trail.
- Getting startedSign in, read the dashboard, set up your first crib.
- Adding itemsOne at a time: fields, barcodes, out of service, retiring.
- Checking out and returningThe core loop, including partial returns.
- Condition trackingCondition out, condition in, and the history in between.
- Overdue remindersThe email ladder: when it fires, when it stops.
