Multi-location
A location is wherever tools live — Cage A, Cage B, the shop van. Every item knows its home, and one desk sees across all of them.
How locations work
- Locations are a simple named list belonging to your organization, and each item is assigned to one (or none).
- An item's location shows in the items list and on its detail page, so “where does this live?” is always one glance away — and the one search box covers your whole inventory regardless of location.
- Managers maintain the list in Settings — add a location, rename it (every item assigned there follows along), or retire it. Retiring is blocked while items are still assigned to the location, so nothing ends up nowhere; move them first. Categories work the same way.
- CSV import also creates any location or category name it doesn't recognize, so a spreadsheet can bootstrap the lists for you.
One desk, every location
Loans, the dashboard, and overdue reminders operate across the whole organization — a checkout from Cage A and one from the van land in the same loans list, the same overdue table, the same reminder ladder. Locations describe where things live; they never split your view of who has what.
Unlimited, like everything else
Locations aren't metered — the flat price covers unlimited users, locations, and items. Each organization's data is fully isolated from every other organization's.
